Councilman Gilmore is dedicated to keeping Jersey City residents informed and engaged in local governance. That's why he hosts bi-weekly Zoom Community Caucuses every other Saturday at 11:00 AM. These sessions serve as an excellent opportunity for the community to delve into Jersey City's Municipal Meeting Agenda items, including new ordinances and proposed resolutions.
For those interested in understanding the decision-making process and the key issues that impact the city, these gatherings offer a unique chance to participate in constructive discussions and voice your opinions.

Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, Councilman Gilmore's Community Caucuses are open to everyone with an interest in the future of Jersey City.

The agenda is published on Fridays before the meetings. While the city's Monday Caucus is interactive, addressing Council members' questions about proposed legislation, Wednesday's are reserved for voting and public comments. Saturday Caucuses offer an advanced opportunity for community engagement.

    • Your total 2023 property tax bill will increase by 6% this year compared to last year’s 2022 tax bill. The bulk of that increase - over 90% - is due to the Public Schools Fiscal Year 2022 budget.
